Online Training

The Allen Institute for Brain Science is offering a free user training workshop demonstrating its online resources for exploring gene expression. Basic data access, navigation and usability will be covered, as well as more sophisticated search and visualization features.

Although all of our online resources will be briefly discussed, the workshop will cover the full spectrum of tools available for exploring gene expression in the Allen Mouse Brain Atlas and the Allen Developing Mouse Brain Atlas.

Before the workshop (optional)

For a hands-on experience, attendees are encouraged to have a computer set-up that allows simultaneous viewing of the Webinar and use of the resources at brain-map.org (e.g., sufficient monitor space for both applications or an extra Internet-connected computer). One of the following platforms should be installed prior to the workshop, with software versions equal to or greater than the ones listed:
